Radar detectors are not illegal in Georgia. However, if you have one, it will not do you too much good as police in Georgia now use lasers to detect speeders.
My advice? Don't waste your money. Obey the speed limit and you'll be fine. By the way, on most Georgia interstates, you can keep it within 10 mph of the posted speed limit and for the most part, be okay.
