The city or just in general? For NYC- I would def. say the Metropolitian Musuem of Art. Then also the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, and you cant forget SOHO!

Ground Zero is an interesting thing to check out, Central Park, Rockefeller Center has a trippy elevator ride to their observation level.
Taxi beach is a nice place to hang around towards dusk because you can see all the lights from Manhattan come alive, coolest bar I've been to was Floyd....indoor bocce ball what else could you possibly want?

i suggest the first day you get there or the first day you can spend doing something to take a double decker tour bus!
it seems boring but its actually really fun!
it tells you lots of ideas to do when you get there
it shows great shopping areas...gives a little history...tells of good restraunets!! definetly do that!
i did this in the middle of my trip and ran out of time to do it so deffinetly take the tour at the very begining!
so you be the judge of the best attraction!
