I think that most likely you can since the illnesses you have mentioned are both viral in origin. You may acquire antibodies to bacterial diseases when you've had them, but it may be that generally you do not gain immunity to viral diseases.

Usually you have an immunity for a short while to the illness you just got over.

Depends if you had the same strain as he did.

If you ge the same strain, then no.
If not, yes.
