It's not that we Atheists don't understand the "magic" of your spiritual world it's just that we realise how the existence of a god or divine being has been used to control and oppress the masses since organised religion was invented.
I personally have experienced premonitions and profound intuitions so I am probably more aware than most of the "reality" of dimensions and forces other than those that exist in our conscious world or that can be explained by science yet I cannot associate the existence of a loving, caring god with the injustice, inequity, hypocricy and bigotry that exists in our world or with the brutality and destructive forces that exist in nature.
In truth it would be easier to deceive myself and believe that there is a divine reason for all the wrongs that exist in our world and that a better place awaits when I shuffle off this mortal coil, but I know I would only be lying to myself to make death more appealing, and I don't see the point of that?

I am an atheist but probably I am not wonderful.
Its not that I don't understand the magic of your world, I do I do I do. Though that's all it is to me. a magical fairy tale world, with no more reason or proof than fairies at the bottom of the garden and no more fascinating than the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
What I do not understand is that anyone could live their life by any of these Myths and Tales any more than they can weave gold for Rumpelstiltskin or that they should think me crazy for not living my life by the tales of Beatrix Potter.

There is no WHY, and there is no point is asking WHY. According to my belief, it is up to the individual to choose his or her own path. I believe in free will and free choice and that an educated choice is always better than blind obedience to any religion or dogma. I do not try to manipulate others into my way of thinking. I am not "against" other religions. I feel that all paths are equally valid as long as they do not infringe upon the basic civil rights or free will of another.

I don't know what they really think, but its not you say a few words and poof it happens. Its not the magic you see on the streets.
I'm not an athiest by the way.

Hindus have 30 crores of gods - 300 million deities. Christians believe in no gods but one, atheists believe in no gods at all. Christians and atheists are essentially indistinguishable.
How many gods are enough gods? Any number larger than zero begs infinity by simple recursion.

Why do all you theist not understand the logic of our physical world?
There is no proof of a spiritual world. There is no evidence for magic. Wake up from your dream world and enter the real world.
