Recently, I found an oncologist which is a better profession, I'm considering, Oncology is the study of Tumors and Cancer, I would like to be a Medical Oncologist or Surgical Oncologist if I could, but people said it is a long job, I can deal with the emotionally stress of explaining the cancer, becuase then I will be able to help them in every possible way, and if the do pass, I will know god gave this to them for a reason and it was their time to go. Also I love the career of dentistry, which is less emotionally stress, but don't help them in a life saving way, but It is a field which help someone emotionally and cosmetically, so what do you is the better profession ???

Well, oncology is a tough profession to get into. It's more challenging, and if you can do it, then there is no doubt in my mind that it will be a much more beneficial and rewarding career to yourself and to society. There are plenty of dentists out there (more and more keep applying each year...too many if you ask me), but to treat someone with cancer will be much more useful in the world right now. More people die of cancer than of any oral problem. There is no cure for cancer yet, so by becoming an oncologist, you will have much more background to eradicate such an epidemic. Maybe you could consider getting an M.D./Ph.D if you're really ambitious. Good luck on your decision...and your road to becoming an oncologist?

It depends on you. Both are absolutely wonderful careers in terms of pay and satisfaction. Both careers will give you financial and job security. If you mean "better" in terms of stress levels as your details indicate, I'd say go for the dental career. Oncology, no matter surgical, radiological, or medical, a career with cancers is tough on the mind and body since you're pretty much on call. You have to ask yourself what are your strengths, your wekanesses, and your preferences. I think you'll find your answer. Good luck and I am happy to see that you're ambitious to go after the two most rewarding careers.

Personally I think anything in the Education field is the best, but since you are looking for high pay and low stress, maybe a chiropractor or ex ray tech? I've heard they make good money!

If you like helping people and a job that is, frankly, more interesting, go for an Oncologist.

"Better" is not something that can be evaluated until you specify what it means. If better means higher-paying, then you can look it up by average salary. If better means lower-stress, you can look it up by suicide rate. There are many ways to qualify something as better. If you don't pick one, the question is unanswerable.

Depends: Ask yourself these questions

1. Do you want to make a living cleaning some body's dirty, smelly mouth all your life ?

2. Or do you want to treat some terminally ill patients, who is going to die on you, sooner or later ?

Now you know my answer. I will not take either. Sorry !
