my hair is medium brown. i have had bleach blonde hair before and don't want all the maintenance. any suggestions?

get the stuff called sun in at walmart and put it in your hair before you go out in the sun

it'll lighten your hair
the more you use it

To go from brown to blonde you have to use bleach. You can lighten your hair to some degree using the lightest tints (you dye fabric and tint hair, it's the chemistry of it), but you still have the monthly maintenance.
Another possibility is to streak or frost your hair. Here again you will need some maintenance, but quarterly to every 6 months will do fine. Start with fewer streaks, then as your maintenance comes up, do a few more. Eventually your hair will be blonder, with out the strict maintenance schedule.

the only way to lighten your hair from brown to blonde is by using bleach. sorry.

use the blonde shamoos, ya know the ones with the blondes & brunettes fighting.

or, my hair seems blonder if i brush it a lot

Set in the sun and keep combing lemon juice thru it.

use sun-in.
u can get it at drugstores.
or bleach..sold at hot topic for $12

use pure lemon juice to lighten it
