Based on some of the literature that I've seen (laying around in an Afghan carry-out), the very religious ones do not.

But obviously some do in the U.S., because the literature was trying to convince Muslims not to do it.

Halloween is a pagan holiday, most of us do not celebrate halloween.

Thanksgiving is not a religious holiday. It is a historic day that the pilgrims broke bread with the indians and thanked god for their survival. I have no problem with Thanksgiving. I do know some who do not celebrate Thanksgiving.

I celebrate the secular aspects of Halloween and Thanksgiving and don't plan to take those away from my children; I am a Muslim convert, and my entire family is Christian.

But I also make sure we celebrate Eid festivals and everyone knows I fast during Ramadhan.

Sure, they dress up like Muslims. Okay, I really doubt the devout ones celebrate halloween because it's got some evil overtones, but the less fundamentalist they are...the greater the possibility. Thanksgiving...some may. I think it would depend on whether they were American Muslims or not.

And some celebrate Christmas, but not for religious meaning, for the sake of presents and celebration...
