Well they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and it opened up their eyes to sin, meaning that it caused evil to enter into the hearts of men. It really had nothing to do with knowledge as far as learning. In the past during the Spanish Enquisition they tried to say that knowledge was evil, but it isn't at all. What happened to Adam and Eve is that their eyes were opened to the possibility of good and evil, whereas before sin had not come into being as far as it related to men.

The serpent didn't corrupt her mind with knowledge. The serpent simply made Eve doubt by making her question what she'd been told. Get your story straight. if God were against learning, then why does the Bible say"Jesus learned obedience by the things he suffered or teach a wise man, he will be yet wiser. The Bible talks a lot about teaching, discipline, and correction. The by-product of all these is learning. In fact the characters lives depicted in the text is for believer's learning. God can't be against learning. Furthermore, the last statement of your sentence doesn't make sense. Someone being against learning has nothing to do with that person's existence. PS. Answer my question regarding sex offenders. It makes sense.

Poor fool.
You must have been born without common sense.
Not only do you NOT know the Bible, but you've bought the same lie that serpent sold Eve.

You obviously haven't learned from her mistake and are condemned to repeat it time after time until you wise up and read the Book for yourself.

One day YOU will LEARN that all God said is true. One day you WILL bow before Him. If not in this life, certainly on the day you stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Hopefully before then you'll at least LEARN how to use spell check before you post another lame question.

Learning is not against God. If it were, He wouldn't have given us the brains he did. Please, stop this line of thinking. He would have to be playing some kind of malicious game if he gave us the wonderful ability to learn, discern and remember only to tempt us to disobey Him as someone else suggested.

Personally, he gave us brains so that we could help ourselves and one another. He surely didn't give us more strength or speed than the other animals. He also didn't give us sharp teeth or claws. So I think he really meant for us to use our brains. Now use yours for what it was intended.

you've got your info wrong. Satan got banished from Heaven because he rebelled against God, not for anything he did to man (he hadn't met man yet).

have you ever read the Psalms or Proverbs? they go on and on about how great wisdom and knowledge and understanding and learning are.

Had nothing to do with knowledge. In fact the bible at
John 17:3 says this means everlasting life taking in knowledge of me and my son Jesus christ or something like that.
It was a matter of rulership. They were saying we don't need you to tell us what to do. It was a taking over of leadership.
Before that time God told them what to do or made the laws.
Man is not capable of making laws. But he is capable of following the laws God has given us.
It was a coe or taking over the government. With Satan as the formenter of all of it. He wanted to rule was the real problem so now he is. He isn't doing a very good job.

No, the moral is to not give into temptation. Adam and Eve's mids were opened to evil and an imperfect world and society as punishment.

Are you sure that this isn't all of your opinion? Learning isn't a sin, disobeying is. Did Adam really have questions about the Stars? He knew who God was, he spoke with Him.

Yes, I always felt that the story of Adam and eve was a bit funny. I mean before the tree of knowledge we were like animals. (supposedly) And yet god told us not to eat and yet, LIKE animals we did. God should have known this. So now we are being punished because we have conscience and a brain.Did the punishment really fit the crime? Or do you think it was a little excessive?

I'm afraid I don't entirely understand. Satan was thrown out of Heaven for trying to overthrow God; it was afterwards that he decided to get back at Him by instrumenting the fall of Adam and Eve. And it wasn't that they gained knowledge of good and evil that was the sin, it was the fact that God said "don't eat this fruit", and they said "screw you" and did it anyhow.
