I knew a young lady who said she was an athiest and then said she would pray to sirens.
Would this be confusion on her part or is this something athiests do?
Just wanted to know.
She also thinks she is the ruler of the underground.
Is she confused or am I?

No. An Atheist does not belive in any diety, they belive that no god exsists. Someone who says they are a diety, and claims to be an athiest seems to be highly confused.

She is. Definitely. Tho I guess one could think that sirens are real while not having a belief in god. And as to the ruler of the underworld, a ruler isn't a god. So, maybe just a little confused. But definitely a little strange.

She is. An atheist has no belief in any deity or religion and wants none. They do not pray to anything. This girl might be ruler of her own sock drawer but not of the underground. She's a flake at best.

My guess is that you are both confused. Her for praying to sirens, and you for asking this question. Atheists do not recognize ANY deity at all, that's what "atheist" means. And please spell it correctly from now on. It's A-THE-IST, just three little syllables, not rocket science.

I particularly worship the old air raid sirens that made people dive under their desks at school during the cold war era, making everyone think nuclear war was at hand. Very good stuff.
