You can buy a little clip in gadget that stops this happening. Only costs a few cents. I think I got mine as a freebee in an exhibition. You plug it into the handset, and then plug the cord into the gadget and it lets you spin the handset round as much as you like and it never gets twisted.

you may have too many people working in too small of a cubicle. I would either split up, each take their own office, or choose to use a cordless or cell phone. that's what I did, and it cleared it right up.
