Truthfully, physical appearance matters little. What it embodies does.

As long as the woman is happy and that happiness exudes then that's all that matters.

I have to say that the hourglass shape is definitely the best. Without decent hips and breasts, how is a woman going to conceive, give birth and then feed a child? Basically they are just an ironing board.

I think the media and Hollywood has a lot to answer for on this subject lately. Printing images of stick thin weirdos like Mary Kate Olsen and that other one who used to have curves just encourages insecure girls to lose weight as much as they can.

I know I'm probably going to upset a few people with this, but hey. Any man who is seriously into stick thin women is obviously completely narrow minded. I'd rather have a girl with far more depth than just trying to keep herself looking "good" in the media sense of the word. Give me an hourglass who enjoys food and is intelligent any day.

Can I just say, I'm an hourglass girl, but I think it's a bit out of order that everybody is giving the guys who say stick a million thumbs down. It's just a preference, like hourglass is for some, it doesn't mean that they're all for anorexia or anything.

I'd say an "in between" shape, neither extreme. I don't find skinny models or a lot of the women in FHM, Max Power, etc attractive in the slightest... so I'd say my personal preference is a healthy medium - nice curves, a bit of meat if you will, but at the same time not unhealthily curvy (I hate the way people take terms like 'curves' and 'real women' totally out of context - they're not nice ways of saying fat, they mean in-between!). Yes ladies the scale goes both ways - overweight is bad but so is underweight!

Saying that it also depends on the girl - I know some bigger girls who're attractive the way they are, and I also know skinny girls who seem to pull it off, I guess a lot of that's just about natural body shape though.

Hourglass-pear shape, i.e. 36-25-36 or 35-25-37.

Hello,

(ANS) Body shape or body type is determined by a persons genetics, therefore you cannot change your actual body type. This applies to men as much as women.

Yes! some shape modification can be achieved sometimes by working out in the gym or on the running track but this still wont change your basic body style or shape your born with.

**What is generally considered desirable or sexy in western cultures (USA or Europe) isn't the same in other societies.

**What matters most of all is person on the inside & body shape is only a small factor in attraction IMO.

It depends on the wommen if she has a curvesious body, i think that when i see someone whose a stick it dosen't look the appeling, or healthy but an hourglass wommen has meat on their bones and lookin good. to tell you the truth it doesnt matter if you are a hourglass or stick shaped, people like you for who you are.

hourglass is almost unanimously more popular than stick.

all guys have specific preferences.

for example, my ideal physique would be:
- a or b cup breasts
- normal/ small size shoulders
- athletic/ toned muscles
- decent size hips and as s
- tight legs
- shorter than me

all guys have different preferences - some like big asses, some small, some like big breasts, some small - and shape is generally more important than size.

as a general rule, men like figure - which means the hourglass shape is more popular than stick.

(personality is much more important and any guy worth being with knows this! so dont focus on physical stuff!)

As long as you're happy with the shape you are, you shouldn't give a flying fck about what guys think. If a guy is only attracted to you because of your body shape, then he's obviously not worth the time of day.

Whatever your natural, healthy body shape is, that's the one that looks best for you. I have curvy friends and skinny friends and they all look good because they don't try to be anything else.

But then I'm not a guy :D
