My father passed away on January 6th 1988. I took it very hard and I cryed alot. My daughter(who is 25 now )was 5 yrs old said to me one day when we were walking home from school that she wishes the snow would go away and spring would hurry up and come. I told her "I know you don't like winter I know you like summer better(p.s. she still doesn't like winter). My sweet little girl said to me"no mommy it's not that it's just that you cry all the time at night because you miss grandpa and I want spring to come so I can pick you some flowers because flowers always make you smile". I knelt down in the snow and gave my baby thr biggest hug ever and after that it didn't hurt so bad losing my dad.(p.s. my sister took her to a flower shop and I got flowers from my baby that very same day and she hasn't stopped giving me flowers to this day and they still make me smile.)

I was asking my children what they want to be when they grow up and my daughter (4 at the time) said "a mommy so I can tell people what to do".
My son (6) has really bad eyesight. There were a pair of black sunglasses on the table and he asked "mom, can I have those Oreos". It just about broke my heart.

She was sick, feverish and vomiting one night several months ago. I put her in my bed so I could keep an eye on her, and set my alarm to go off every 2 hrs so I could check her fever. At 2:00am it went off, and she was spiking again. I got the motrin, got the wet washcloths, woke her up, and tried to lower the fever. She was so miserable!
I was brain-dead, I was so exhausted. I put my head next to her and fought not to fall back asleep. She put her hot little hands on my face, and told me I was the best friend she ever had, and she was lucky to have me.
Hands down, the greatest thing anybody's ever said to me.

My son(5) and I were watching some superhero show, and asked if I had any special abilites, and I said "no hun, I dont think so". He thought for a minute, then he said"Oh, I know, you have the ability to love." I just thought it was so cute of him to say that.

My littlest daughter who will be 3 on Fathers' Day snuggled up to me the other day when I was wearing a t-shirt with no bra underneath. She reached over and poked me right in the center of one of my breasts and said, "It's your booby-button!". Then she lifted her shirt and said, "These is my booby-buttons!"
Also, not too long ago my 8 yr old daughter asked me, "Am I still part Daddy even if I came out of your tummy?" Since I didn't want to "go there", I simply said that, yes, God made her part Mommy and part Daddy. Thankfully she was satisfied with that answer. Wheww!!!

My daughter, Natalie was on the computer when my youngest daughter (who is five), Kayla came home from a playdate and that day she learned how to read most things and sound them out. So she was sitting on "Aly"'s lap reading what she was typing. SO at dinner, I asked Kayla to pass the salt and she said, "ZOMG!" and I gave her a weird look as Aly and Eric (my son) started laughing like she read what Aly wrote. then she said "Jk, Mo-Mo." and then "OMFG" but she said the letters. I let her continue because I knew that Kayla would eventually reveal what Aly had been hiding from me. "Mo-Mo, I gots my dot." as in Aly got her period. Aly turned bright red, and that basically made my day.

A few months ago my guy and I went to visit his son. As we were walking out of Denny's he wraps his arms around me and says "You're my stepmom right?" I looked at him, smiled, hugged him and told him politely that I wasn't because his daddy and I aren't married. He got this face, kind of a half pout half mad face and said "Well I want you to be my stepmom because I love you and if daddy won't marry you then I will!" He was 6.

it wasn't the nicest thing he said to me but to his mothers day out teacher to write on a mothers day card. Here is the story behind it, I give him chocolate milk about 3 times a day and he always asks for it and I make it. Well when I picked him up and got the card I read it and his teacher asked him "you love your mommy when she??? And he told her makes me my chocolate milk. My eyes filled up with tears and I was like oh come here you little angel you can have chocolate milk when ever you want. LOL
