we're in illinois. my son,9yrs, likes to go to day camp at the local pk. district. not much to do in the neighborhood but lots to do at camp. i think one week he and i will take a drive to springfield(capitol). it's about 3 hrs but, he loves history.another day we'll drive to starved rock or mathiesen state park. we have a trip to disney planned later in the summer too. in between we'll do the arboretum,go-karts,batting cages and other local stuff to stay busy. then there's always the ever popular summer school work so he doesn't forget what he learned last yr. ought to be a busy summer. how about you? what are you doing?

Give them duties like let them fix and sort their room whatever needs to be fix there. The next day let them do other things give them activities ask help from them if you fix or clean the house. Other than that if there are summer activities in school like swimming or other activities available from the school. At home there are of things to keep them busy at the same time educational ones just give them proper scheduling to play, watch TV, etc.

well, there is always fun thing's that your kid's can do for the summer. for instance, if they are in church they can go along with church activities, they usually have trips all summer for kid's.or some afterschool camp if they are still young..and they have other camp's that the kid's can go to that doesn't require an overnite stay. try and look into something like that.or you can plan something that would not be too expensive like a fun family getaway.. camping etc.. it's fun try it..

I don't have any child. so its fun for me in the summer.
You can say them to make 5 by 2 and 2 in these summer, or count the stars of the sky. These are "simple" and "interesting" job for your children.
