I belive that there is nothing that can be done to stop the warming of the plan. this is way! " Our solar System in moving inside our Galexy, acording to Sience, Astroligist, and even the anchant Myains, on the Date Dec, 21st, 2012, Our Sun will line up with the center of our Galexy, at that time our planet will do a wable on it's axes, this will cause aolt of bad things to happen here, and could even wip out the world as we know it. Our planet warming is a sign that this time is near." I am coreous to hear everyone opinon on this and other theorys on the so called Global Warming. Thank you for taking the time to read this and to give you 2cents.

Acording to the Mayans the world will end on 21st December 2012 but also according to the Mayans the world is 6000 years old so I wouldn't rely on them being particularly accurate. Remember all the fuss about 06-06-06? Well, we're still here.

I'm not an astronomer so can't comment on the alignment of bodies within the galaxy but consider this - at any point in time there has to be something at the centre of the galaxy, if there was some mysterious force at work that affected the centre of the galaxy it would be well documented by astronomers and other experts.

The warming of our planet is due to a build up of greenhouse gases that trap heat within Earth's atmosphere. This phenomena would occur regardless as to where the planet was in the galaxy, be it at the edge, the centre or in a different galaxy altogether (assuming that the sun was also with us).

There is some truth in saying that the planet will do a wobble on it's axis but this isn't something that happens suddenly. Earth has a complex series of cycles which cause it to wobble and these wobbles occur over long periods of time, the shortes of them lasts a whole 19,000 years. If you imagine a spinning top in space wobbling from side to side, up and down and rotating about the point at the bottom, this is a bit like the way the Earth moves, only slower, much slower. These cycles are named Milankovitch Cycles after the person who documented them - Milutin Milankovitch.

I think it's safe to say that the planet and it's human population will still be here come Christmas Day 2012. By that time we may be have some early schemes in place to combat global warming, several such schemes are being investigated and if implemented, could stop global warming.

Remember the Y2k bug, a catastrophe was suppose to happen and what happened, NOTHING. The prediction that a huge world wide shut down was going to take place just didn't happen. The same can be said for the prediction you raise. Do you really think this planet hasn't gone through one of these cycles before in the billions of years of it's existence? The notion that global warming or climate change is man made is absurd. I have read on a global warming site that in 1750 CO2 levels were 300ppm/vol and today it's 380ppm/vol . I ask you , does that sound like world destroying levels? It also said that methane was man made. With a statement like that how much notice can you take from the rest of the information listed there. They are saying that these two gases are greenhouse gases and they trap heat. Heat comes from the sun it's not generated on earth. Commonsense tells me that if heat can pass through these gases then it must be able to go back the other way. Methane is inflammable and is destroyed by lightning.
If you use your own observations and commonsense you can easily dismiss all this hype over global warming.

Yes, we are moving. And you can always draw a line from our Sun to the center of the galaxy, so it is always lined up there.

I would challenge you to determine the galactic motions and so on and see how many times in the past the sun has ALSO lined up with the "center" of our galaxy, and see if terrible things happened each time this is supposed to have occurred throughout the life of the solar system.

Warming of any part of the Solar system above normal variations would not be a likely predecessor to an axis instability of the Earth. What have these people you have confidence in said will happen in the rest of the Solar System?

I do not have much confidence in the predictions of astrologers; I think a careful check has proven they average no better than educated guesses. We only hear about their successes, and not their failures.

For my views, read my various postings and arguments. But in the main, i see a lot of hype, a lot of suppression of data, a lot of extrapolation on little factual data, and a lot of problems with people who are into controlling others, and want to remake the world to suit them. Or like basking in publicity.

Unfortunately, those who want strong action, any action, now and do not want to discuss statistical methods, normal variations, and the past recent history of global temperature (MWP and LIA) have the ear of the public.

Most of our citizens, through the public schools, are at best semi-literate in science and in statistical methods used to make the results fit the preconceived notions. I see graphs with all sorts of "smoothing" on part of the curves and a different or no smoothing on others, as well as selection of data points to be used. NOT good science. Not good statistics.

And whether or not the "consensus" of scientists like it or not, the ostracism of those who do not agree with what is popular is very real, and causes a suppression of good research to confirm or deny a fact. Consensus is not bad, but forcing everybody to agree or else is. And refusal to look at other viewpoints is also bad.

My opinion is that there is not enough evidence in to extrapolate to the future the way is being done now, and my other opinion is if we plan for it, and if the melting of the polar ices happens, it can be beneficial in opening up new lands now under ice sheets, and new areas for aquaculture. and recreation.

"Global Warming" happens periodically, proven earlier by those who say it is now like this was new, and just maybe we need to look a bit more at if this event is really greater than most, and if so, exactly why...not jump to conclusions. And study recent history of temperature variations and causes. Not dismiss history as irrelevant.

Meanwhile, we need to orbit a HUGE umbrella, to keep the globally warmed cooler headed!

Global warming is natural and the man made gases do not contribute towards the warming enough to register as a cause.

Denver is getting set to ruin it's city by imposing taxes and regulations that will get rid of 400 million metric tons of carbon dioxide.... That will reduce carbon dioxide in the air by .0014% but it will ruin a city and possibly a state. Is it worth it? NO! The 400 million metric tons would be removed in 12 years if they followed these regulations... China will cancel out that gain in 2 weeks. It's being said that removing 400 million metric tons of carbon dioxide from the air is like taking 2 "SMALL" coal power plants offline... China brings 2 "small" coal power plants online every 2 weeks.......

The part that in manmade can be fixed so why not fix that and not fret about the part we can't do anything about? Fixing the part man has generated can be done without all the upsetting of everything that the greenies seem to relish. Good engineering can do the job with benifits to everyone as well as the planet.

Is global climate change Cosmic? Yes. Natural? Yes. Man made? Yes. All factors contribute, and anthropogenic factors seem to be increasingly significant.
The wobble doesn't happen in one day. It happens over the course of thousands of years, imperceptibly different every second, and this will be about the 500 thousandth time that wobble has happened in Earth's history.
How can a star "line up with" the "center of our Galaxy"? When is there not a line between one point and another? Anyone who slows down and thinks about astrological mumbo-jumbo finds it just so easy to dismiss. Astronomy, on the other hand, is quite instructive and getting more and more solid every year.

particular it has grow to be a faith and Al Gore is the pope of the cult.think of of ways lots money particular communities will make off of the hype.think of of all that government money going to "analyze".as properly there is in straightforward terms lots you're able to do ,after all whoever controls the climate controls the worldwide.concern is the suited political motivator. climate replace is a factor of the character of the planet.elementary experience is to have clean skill yet till there's a dollar in all of it that occurs is communicate, communicate and extra communicate.government regulations, fines and outcomes(gotta get that bailout money someplace) We somewhat prefer clean air and water .i'm the unique recycler and that i do no longer waste skill in basic terms like many different people.i exploit skill and don't choose for the "guilt" holiday of doing so. I extremely have a topic with Gore the guru who flies around a gasoline guzzling jet.So does Queen Pelosi who opted for an even bigger one to fly back and forth to California.undergo in concepts her saying she desires to maintain the planet, yeah she flies we walk.we can all start up by using the hot skill saving mild bulbs. Oh I forgot they are those with mercury in them.Oh,properly looks like a good suggestion on the time. i assume you all heard that some genius baby-kisser had to tax cow farmers for any that very own extra effective than a hundred for emitting "methane gas" yeah it somewhat is actual.will we bottle it extremely?Or on 2nd concept deliver some from the bull to that baby-kisser as he's familiar with the B.S. whilst he sees or smells it.

Well I certainly hope the planet doesn't wobble off it's axis.

I've seen that date before, and I'll be glad to see it pass by with no adversity.

Either way, there's nothing we can do about it. Just like global warming. Humans are but tiny organisms on this vast spinning ball and have no affect on it at all. I think many wish we could control weather and climate, but alas we cannot.

Even if we cannot save the world from global warming , we still need our Environment to survive whilst we are still here .

Everybody is so desperate to absolve humanity from blame ,and this is not possible

Global warming is one thing ,and for many people it seems to be the knight on a white horse that says
dont worry it is not your fault you can do nothing about it ,
keep on trucking ,poluting, deforesting, desertifying, keep killing the animals ,keep burning the woods

Man is responsible for much climate change it cannot be whitewashed by Global warming

However more and more evidence suggest that humanity has been and is affecting global warming .

Are We responsible ?
Is it the Sun?
Is it God who wants to punish us?
Is it Gaia who wants to clean some parasitic infestation?
Is it a Natural cycle?

Who cares ? that is not important any more
WHAT IS important -is that we are gonna be in trouble

WHAT CAN WE DO?

The best we can do as individuals is be more responsible ,in our own neck of the woods

Organise well publicized clean up parties ,talk on the radio, hold citizan meetings, get the shools involved to plant trees and listen to environmental awareness talks.

If you do any cleaning up ,leave signs behind saying who cleaned, why and ask people not to start dumping rubbish again ,leave a hole or bins ,in case people come back with trash ,and they always do.

We have done a lot of comunity cleaning and if you dont leave alternatives or try to work on peoples guilt feelings (some people actually have those ,but not many) ,than your efforts are a waste of time.

That is what we do in Mexico.

POSITIVE ACTIONS
Print Tshirts with slogans ,hang posters all over the place (with recycled paper if possible).

Classify trash, take out all the organic waste and make compost with it ,the worst you can do is throw it with the trash,or burn it .

70% of contamination is due to organic waste that is mixed in with the garbage .
and it is just as bad in the sewer where it helps to breed rats and in the landfill it poisons the ground .

This is the easiest to take care of .

First of all we have to clasify trash ,at least keep the organic to one side ,like in a plastic bin with a lid .

If you got a few meters of ground ,you only need 1 or 2 square meters in a shallow hole ,(in the shade) ,that you can wet now and again .

Where you dump everything that is organic .
Toilet paper,bones vegetable cuttings ,eggshells,
deadbodies ,excrement ,cardboard,leaves,
shredded paper, old clothes (if they are organic),

Cover regularly with leaves or a piece of plastic,
to keep humid and to hide any smell .
REGULARLY spray some water over it ,but do not saturate it or the worms will die or leave.
The worms will decompose the wastes, turning it into beautifull black soil for the garden of flower pots .

If you are in a apartment ,if you have a balcony get a big plastic bin drill some holes in the side and lid ,

and add a few buckets of sand now and again to put over the trash ,you should realy stir or move the stuff at times to airate it ,and ensure that the decomposition is even ,keep moist

this rubbish does not get big very fast and the thing works for a long time with out getting full

----------------------Some more Positive thoughts
Global warming cannot be stopped but being friendlier to our Environment cannot be bad and maybe we buy some time.

If you want to help the planet ,plant a tree every week ,if everyone on the planet did we we would be able to slowdown the destructive processes.

Reduce carbon emisions, and they are already working on that ,by alternative forms of energy We need more regulations on carbon production.
Dont use aerosol cans,
Dont burn trash
Limit water use
Recicling wastes.

AGRICULTURE must invest in
Waterharvesting projects ,(such as thousands of small dams).to redirect over ground waterflows from the rains into the ground to supply subteranian water supplies.

Assist the capture of carbon and the production of water by promoting Reforestation.

The world bank pays large subsidies for reforrestation to capture carbon and the best tree for this is the Pawlonia .

Agricultural education and improvements to follow the principals of sustainability and soil management

GOVERNMENT
The protection of existing forrests.
Stop building more highways,
Urban planning to include vegetation
Stop building cities encourage people to return to the land to conduct their business from there ,which now has become possible thanks to the internet.

More environmental or land ,design to prevent bush fires, such as--fire breaks .
More dams, regulations and control for public behaviour.
Alternative effeciant public transport to discourage the use of the internal conbustion engine.

SCHOOL SYSTEMS
Education to motivate people to auto sufficiency by building more home food gardens.
Education on environmental awareness.
Education on family planning ,to curb overpopulation.

How old is this planet? How many times over this period off time has our climate changed? All I know, is that us humans are a destructive lot that soon will get punished by mother nature if we don't start treating her with more respect.
