does it by chance remind you of Hawkeye's jokes off of M*A*S*H? such as "I would have gotten better flowers but these were the best I could get without actually going in the minefield." or do you think of all the explosives left over from the wars like WWII and and The Korean Conflict, perhaps even Vietnam?
tell me. i just want to know what you think about when you read that.

I take it to mean you have been through a very harrowing and intense experience filled with danger. Just as you would if you had to walk into and back out of a mine field.
I dont immediately think of any group of stars or wanna be's that take the world wide minefield problem into the news although the mine fields do exist. Countries that put them there should clear them out. US included.
