I have been trying to change my family's eating habits for the better, but the other day at my husband's birthday party his nephew got him a BIG bag filled with Reese Cups, Ding Dongs, Hershey Bars, Capn Crunch cereal, brownies, and Chips Ahoy cookies. He apologized to me ahead of time for buying it all but he said the bag was a "bag of memories" of stuff my husband used to eat when he was growing up with his nephew. I had to laugh about it and of course I couldn't say no you can't have it, my husband after all is a grown man not a child. But the stuff is over here just taunting me to eat some of it. I want so badly to lose weight. I'm trying to concentrate on the salad in front of me! HELP!

you dont have to eat just salad to lose weight - there are so many good things that taste good and are healthy for you like fruit, nuts, dried fruit, yogurts, 60cal puddings that are fat free and sugar free etc etc.
dont look at chocolates and candies as "goodies" - they are evil - loaded with sugar and fat they are not good for your body and health - they might give you heart attack, diabetes etc one day.

Find an inspirational photo, like of a fit celebrity like Jessica Biel for example. Also, tell a friend or co-worker to join you that way you have someone for support and to tell you how your not a "fat-***". Also, write down your goals and put them on the fridge to remind you of what your working for. Good luck!
