I dont understand how monotheistic religions always refer to their religion as the truth, yet their faith is based on no proof? Im curious... how do you get truth out of no proof?

One reason I hold that I was created by God is because otherwise all the noble things that we hold true such as love, self worth, courage, honesty, righteousness, justice, etc. are otherwise just illusions brought on by mindless evolution.

If God doesn't exist, then we are slaves of an evolution supplied system of drug addiction. We love because that gets us a shot of happy drug. Everything we think good and true and with purpose is just another shot of the happy drug. All of our purposes for living become meaningless.
“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted mathematician, philosopher and atheist).

This idea of mindless evolution ruling our lives by giving us shots of drugs ought to drive us to blackest despair and point us toward God. If evolution is the alternative, God is life.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.Have you ever believed so hard that God will work things out for you and he did. In Summer 2006 I was a graduate looking for a job and could not get one. It was very rough for me, as i had bills to pay and was on my own. I prayed and believed by faith that God would provide a job for me that morning- about five minutes after, i received a phone call. In the next three i got a job without an interview. The person just called and offered me a job-just like that.

God does not go back on his word. He honors his words above his name. its in his word that the truth is revealed. My life was far from the truth until i met Jesus. now he is the only truth for me and I'm madly in love with him.

What would be the point of believing in something that is predictable or something that you can see and understand? Where is the mystery in that? I am glad that i serve a god that I cannot use my mediocre knowledge to explain his existence. How can a creature know more than his creature.
Your faith can make you whole.

Not an original question, but one that gets at the heart of the matter. Like us, they all use their senses in day-to-day life to determine what is true and what isn't, and many try to get evidence before making a choice or doing something... until it's about God. Then their knees jerk.

The answer is... you don't get truth out of no proof. Even if you have a personal experience, you can't prove that this wasn't a hallucination or dream or misinterpretation. Most of these personal experiences aren't even anything that justify all of their beliefs, just hints at a greater power around us. You also can't use personal experience to convince others for an obvious reason: they're personal. No one else can experience them.

So then some people bring up intuition. "There's no evidence of anything for that, but you just FEEL it, and then you KNOW!" Except you don't know, you just have this unexplainable feeling. And do you know why we hear so much about intuition coming true? Because intuition that is false is so much more common. It's nothing noteworthy, but people like to think that they've stumbled upon something amazing just because they've realized something. I admit that some cases are quite odd and possibly too much so to be coincidences. This, however, does not necessarily point to any kind of God or supernatural experience/power. Science doesn't know everything yet, but perhaps it will be able to explain these phenomena one day.

So, in short... they aren't related at all.

Faith is strictly based on a belief but it doesn't make it a truth since mankind can't decide which God to worship, you have the Jewish God, Allah and many others but this doesn't pass for truth. Truth is verifiable and can be tested and evident. Truth to a Christian means it is the truth as know it but just because one believes this doesn't make it true!

The Christian Religion teaches that faith is truths learned.

The union of charity and faith is the marriage in man, this corresponds to the marriage of Divine Love and Divine Wisdom in God.

They have nothing to do with each other. Truth is determined by evidence; faith rejects evidence.

There is no correlation between the two. People passionate about their particular belief system tend to not rely on logic.

You missed the first definition. Perhaps they trust because they have their own proof.
