Can you explain in more detail what specifically the same old crap is that you are referring to? Your question is answerless.

Have a nice day!

We keep repeating the same stuff because people like you are still around, what are you scared of? That us people just may be onto something. You are ignorant, deceived and just basically lost to what is really important. It shows from the way you even asked your question. God said "I AM " That's all I need to know. He didn't try to defend his own existence. Next time use the dictionary for some better words other than crap, your intelligence level seems limited.

Well, this is obviously true in other areas of life, but it makes sense here on Yahoo! Answers because people are always asking the same questions. For general purposes, though, they keep repeating the same stuff because all they have is the Bible, which is very limited and doesn't really deal with proving God or not. They don't realize that the burden of proof is upon their shoulders, so some of them say, "You haven't disproved God!" This is true, but virtually meaningless. Others say, "The Bible is true because it says it's true/it's God's Word/it never changes!" They don't realize that this isn't an argument of any kind. It's akin to saying an apple exists because an apple exists. Of COURSE it never changes (though it actually does - just look at all of the versions) - it's a book! Still others try to use personal experience to convince us that what they say is true, even though their experiences are subject to scrutiny themselves and it is impossible to pass on one's own experience to another person.

So you see, they don't have much to use. They can't come up with any arguments because no such arguments exist; hence, the Bible's emphasis on faith. When they try to use logic, they still operate with the assumption that God exists, so their statements become illogical, i.e. the banana. I think their best reason is personal experience, but, as I pointed out, this is neither proof nor evidence for another individual.

When I was a child, I was learning to play the piano. I learned two songs, and I played them over, and over, and over, and over again. It was all that I knew.

Now that I know more music, I can play more things, and even improvise a bit. But when I was immature, I just thrilled at hearing myself play something that sounded semi-good. I did it so I could hear it, not everyone else. Only in retrospect do I recognize how little pleasure it brought to others to hear the same two poorly performed songs seemingly in perpetuity.

I think you're hearing the Christians speak because they like to hear their own words. When they grow up, they'll more than likely shut up.

A christian's proof tends to center around biblical references... which all, bottom line, tend to express the same ideals over and over... they don't have anything else to use as proof

Hi I don't want to beat a dead horse here but...Its all I got. There are several versions of the Bible but they all boil down to the same thing Love thy Neighbor as you would Love thyself.

We 'repeat the same old stuff', because the whole thing really is quite simple. Neither God nor His instruction manual, the Bible ever changes! So, neither will we or what we say.

The proof is in what works & what doesn't. God works; our very limited understanding doesn't.

Probably for the same reason that Atheists and any fanatic will do so. It's part of being human and lacking in skills of rhetoric.

Because believing something without proof makes them comfortable, it's like a security blanket.
