According to their beliefs, they are the only ones with the truth and the rest of us are "lost" and being deceived by an imaginary boogeyman. When people think they are the only ones with the "correct" beliefs, they tend to hold it over everyone else.

Ummmm excuse me "NavyWife" but a true CHRISTIAN doesn't talk like that!
To answer your question... I am not sure why they think that way but trust me when I tell you that all of the negative that these "Christians" think and do are HUMAN made, not GOD made! Don't let it bother you, as long as you know you are a good person at heart, you having nothing to worry about. Its these "Sunday morning Christians" that will be surprised in the end!!!

navy wife....... that is the total opposite of Christianity. that's why we get stupid questions like this. You just proved her point!
somewhere down the line some Christians believe they have the right to judge everyone else around them and are better than everyone and that is not true. If you are really a christian then you know you should hand it over to god to judge. and love everyone.

I don't know where you get this. If a Christian acts like they have authority over you they are know Christian. Christians are just like anyone else we have sinned and so have you. We are no better than anyone else.
