Some people in the U.S. say to avoid strife at all costs. But Jesus says to strive to enter in at the Straight Gate (Jesus is the straight gate). So what do you think, should we follow the world's advice or Jesus' advise?

It is the human way to "strive". Jesus has nothing to do with it. If he existed, he's dead now. We know nothing of his advice, because he died long before anybody made up the stories about him.

Just because the hyper-aggressive "American" way is super-destructive of life as we know it, that doesn't mean we have to go medieval and believe what some middle eastern fantasy like Jesus said. Do not strive. Just relax and enjoy life as much as you can. This is the only life you get.

Strive and strife are to very different words.

Strive means to try

Strife means hardship

With that in mind, re-read your question, it doesn't make sense.

'Strife' and 'strive' have two utterly different meanings. You can strive and you can also avoid strife. They're not mutually exclusive. Back to the dictionary for you.

Jesus's, of course! Jesus said to love God supremely and our neighbors as ourselves. We can only go along with the crowd until they get off the straight and narrow path that leads to heaven...
