I remember about six or seven years ago a guy would just walk up to the girl he likes and just ask her out or get a conversation going, now if that happens to you it's always with the wrong guy or he's gay and likes your highlights or clothes!

If a guy fancies you, he will talk to you/ask you out. You are mixing with the wrong crowd.

Er..hello...this is the 21st Century. It's got nothing to do with being scared, I think you'll find a lot of guys are a lot more choosy and don't do that any more, women fought for the right to be able to act like guys, now it's up to them to do 50% of the asking and chasing. If a female is going to sit looking dumb waiting for a guy to hit on her she's gonna have a long wait. Being just female and avaliable is not enough nowadays.

How about you asking them instead of waiting around for them to ask you?

I doubt that anything has changed in such a short period of time. It sounds like it's something only you're experiencing. I'm betting that there are great guys that you pass every day but you're just overlooking them because you have some other criteria that you're really looking for, We often get exactly what we're looking for but we often lie to ourselves about what it is we're looking for.

have you considered that they are trying to start a convo asking about your highlights and clothes???
My partner asked me about my boots when we met he went on about how the pointiness and the heels lol. He certainly isn't gay or the 'wrong man'

Maybe a lot of guys have been brainwashed by the femi-nazis to believe that if he asks a girl out, then he is sexually harassing her, or something.

Consider the new song by Pink ("You plus your hand"). The song is about a woman publicly ridiculing a guy just because he offered to buy her a drink. Why attack and insult a person who was just trying to be nice? Even if she didn't like him, there is no need to be rude and immature about it. This song is popular, so obviously a lot of women think that it is OK to act this way, and guys know it.

I suppose that men your age are getting tired of being treated rudely by women who don't find them that attractive.

I have no idea; if a guy actually asked me out instead of hollering at me, beeping his (car) horn at me, or wolf-whistling at me, I would give him some thought.
Then again, I don't think everything should be left up to guys; women can ask out men, too!

They are afraid of rejection. Girls these days are alot different from the girls six or seven years ago.
