you should not lose more than 2 pounds a week. Restrict your calories to 1200 a day, exercise daily and you will lose the weight, but you will do it in a healthy fashion. And it won't come back once you've lost it gradually because the body adjusts to being at the lower weight. Those who lose it quickly gain it back even faster because the shock to the body will cause it to retain every calorie it can.

My husband has been on a diet kick and has been running 4 miles / day and eating salads, chicken, fish, nuts (pecans, walnuts) and has lost 7 inches in 3 months. Oh yeah and drink plenty of water.

If you are not a runner, start off running or doing hard cardio for 30 minutes only - just to start, then you can build up your time/miles. You can harm your body if you are not experienced...my husband learned that the hard way because he was adamant about losing the weight fast and he was really hard on himself. Take it easy for the first week or so and then work hard to work it off.

After a work out you can sit in a sauna for a while. That's what wrestlers and UFC fighters do to make weight. ...just a suggestion

running or doing the elliptical burn the most ammount of weight. I would recomend the elliptical because you can do it for a lot longer period than running. I would suggest you run or elliptical for 4 hrs a day and eat 1000 (eat any less and your body will go into starvation mode and hold onto all your fat) but what you do eat is low in sugar, low in fat and low in calories, like fruits veggies, cherios, milk, H20, bread, egg whites, turkey, etc

Good Luck Stay Strong!

Doing this you will weight 65-68kg by the 5th week

The best way to lose weight is to be shed of the baggage. A lot of our weight problems come from those heavy ideas, like, artificial deadlines, self-esteem issues, summer's a-comin', impatience, regret and remorse. The loss of a pound per week is comparitively easy, safe, longer lasting and rational. Why do most hurry-up dieters regain their weight? Baggage.

go jogging every day for at least 30 minutes, increase intensity as days go by, wear sweats so you can burn more calories, but make sure you drink water before during and after your exercise, eat healthy.

as you jog, intermitently, drop (literally) on the floor and do 5-10 pushups or 20 situps, then continue jogging and so on...

Jump rope is a great exercise too, one of my favorites, you will lose some serious fat with it, but you really have to do it for at least 5 minutes nonstop.

Drink lots of water, excerise and watch how much saturated and transfat you are consuming at each meal. Try to eat as little of those fats as possible.

Go to your local recruiter and tell them you want to join.

Don't sign anything (obviously) and tell them you want to work out.

They will pick you up and work you out. For free.

Once you're in shape, tell them you changed your mind :)

They'll teach you plenty about what and how to eat and excercise etc.
