boils are caused by staph, a bacterium that normally lives on our skin without causing a problem. But when the skin is not in good condition, the bacteria can get into and under the skin and then you get boils. Antibiotics can take care of the immediate problem, but to avoid their return you need to take better care of your skin. Stay out of the sun, tanning damages and weakens the integrity of the skin, moisturize every day to keep the skin supple and healthy, and above all, drink at least two liters of water every day to keep the skin healthy from inside.

I agree with Lance but I also know that it is your body's way of getting rid of toxins or poisons in your body and boils usually appear on the weakest part of your body. Drinking lots of alcohol can contribute to it as well. Don't know how to make them stop coming but I know you need to make it come to a head and using a sterile needle and pop it. Then wash it well and keep it clean. If u go to the doctor that's all their going to do and it can be very painful. So I suggest you do it yourself. Hope this helps.

Boil or furuncle is a skin disease caused by the inflammation of hair follicles, thus resulting in the localized accumulation of pus and dead tissues. Individual boils can cluster together and form an interconnected network of boils called carbuncles. In severe cases, boils may develop to form abscesses.

Most boils run their course within 4 to 10 days. For most people, self-care by applying a warm compress or soaking the boil in warm water can help alleviate the pain and hasten draining of the pus (colloquially referred to as "bringing the boil to a head"). Once the boil drains, the area should be washed with antibacterial soap and bandaged well.

For recurring cases, sufferers may benefit from diet supplements of Vitamin A and E.

In serious cases, prescription oral antibiotics such as dicloxacillin (Dynapen) or cephalexin (Keflex), or topical antibiotics, are commonly used. For patients allergic to penicillin-based drugs, erythromycin (E-base, Erycin) may also be used.

However, some boils are caused by a superbug known as community-acquired Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, or CA-MRSA. Bactrim or other sulfa drugs must be prescribed relatively soon after boil has started to form. MRSA tends to increase the speed of growth of the infection.

Magnesium sulfate paste applied to the affected area can prevent the growth of bacteria and reduce boils by absorbing pus and drying up the lesion.

boils can be caused by foreign bodies inside the body which causes the body to re-act negatively and sometimes it is caused by bacteria which gets into the body in dirty environment. You can stop them from coming back by taking anti-biotics either by tablet or by injection. Keep your environment clean and healthy.

In answer to what can stop them from coming back...

Your skin is the largest organ of the body and therefore the largest filter for taking in oxygen and getting rid of toxins through your poors.

Too many man made snacks and sodas clog up the lymphatic system. You want to increase raw fruits and vegetables and stay away from hydrogenated oils and flavored drinks.

Start with replacing what you drink with pure water as it is your best source for redistributing and getting rid of fats and toxins out of the body.

Look for a really good phytochemical supplement that is affordable and really high quality to help your skin cells repel UV rays from the sun and get a natural sun screen, like Jason's that has no parabins.

Phytochemical supplements come in powders to add to a smoothy and also have natural vitamin A and E activity, not synthetic vitamin A and E which do absolutely nothing for you.

Parabins in skin care increase UV damage and increase skin cancer risks and increase aging of the skin.
