I got her from the local shelter - they think she might have some beagle or some dachshund or perhaps even spaniel in her...photos are here:

To clarify, she is 12-wks in the 1st pic and 10-wks in the 2nd and 3rd.

She definitely is a sweetie and has a very pleasant temperment. She chews on EVERYTHING.

OMG she is cute!!!!

Definitely a lot of beagle... my litte bea is staring at me as I write this, and there is a definite family ressemblance!

The black and tan colouring is unusual in a beagle but it is a "true hound color" and would qualify for a beagle, so she could have gotten that for her beagle parent as well. That makes it difficult to guess the other parent, because it's hard to find a single trait on your dog that could _not_ have come from a beagle, unless she grows very big.

Which means that her other parent would have been quite similar to a beagle, or she inherited a bunch of dominant genes from the beagle parent. I wouldn't be surprised if she were 3/4 beagle.

Most of all enjoy your little darling!

What a cute dog! It definitely has some Beagle in her and probably some dachshund, maybe it'll be easier to know when it's a little older since it looks like if it's quite young in those pictures. By the way, props for saving a dog from a shelter, I wish more people would do what you did instead of wasting hundreds of dollars on getting it from a breeder. Beautiful dog.

Looks like a beagle mixed with a short-haired dachshund.

SO adorable. She's definitely part beagle! She's got a beagle's head and soft expression. You didn't say how old she is, but if she's going to grow to be a big dog, I'd say she might also be part German Shepherd. Believe it or not, that's not an uncommon mix of breeds.

From looking at your photos, I think that she definately has some Beagle in her and some other kind of hound.

I can't see any spaniel in her, but this may become more clear as she gets older.

A tip: Look at the size of her paws. The bigger they are, the bigger she is likely to grow. Knowing an approximate size of your dog may help you discover her breed.

Beagle is likely. Not sure about the rest. This looks like a puppy. What age? That might help in guessing the rest. She looks like she might get big.

Dang, she's cute!

She's definitely part Beagle! She also may be part Labrador, judging by the shape of her face. It's really hard to say with mutts, especially when they're still puppies.

I agree with most of the previous answerers, it looks like a beagle.

I think beagle /dachshund mix. You can see the dachshund in her eyes. Too cute
