Bride's father collapsed and died while walking her to the altar. Yes, they postponed the wedding.

I didn't actually go to this wedding, but I was invited to it and I'm soooo glad I didn't go. The invitation had a letter from the bride's mother telling all the guests that the bride and groom wished to recieve gift cards and cash only as gifts, because they would be moving across country after the wedding and didn't want to take a bunch of gifts with them. Then, apparently, the wedding had a "Kush Ball" theme. They were even on the wedding cake. The bride supposedly got really drunk and spent the whole reception sitting on the groom's lap. I heard it was the tackiest event of the year. Thank goodness I had other plans that weekend!

I used to work in a tuxedo shop and let me tell you weddings are crazy. We had a story about policemen showing up to arrest the groom as they were coming down the aisle. Stories about the groom disappearing the day before the wedding. All kinds of stuff!
The best most harmless craziness I ever had was the wedding party that returned their tuxes soaked in beer! Everything felt and smelled like it had been stuffed in the keg and left to marinate, even the jackets! They hadn't finished the keg and took it to the grooms parents after the reception but forgot the tap, so they used a drill to put a whole in the top and one guy hoisted it on his shoulder to "pour" it. I asked them if they would get their deposit back and I don't think that had occurred to them until I asked. Of course, they were all already drunk so beer got everywhere! The groom returned his vest with a giant motor oil stain on it because he slipped in the driveway. Half the party was still wearing their tuxes when they returned them! Why they did all this while still wearing the jackets I'll never know, but they were a riot! I was soooo glad someone else had to clean them!

The WORST thing I've ever seen at weddings (and not just one) is kids that are TOTALLY out of control.
During the ceremony, the kid is screaming FITS, and at the receptions they've been running around, tripping up the guests, having food fights, having MORE screaming fits, and generally being HUGE pains, and the parents NOT are not doing anything to control the situation!
I would be SO pissed if I had been the bride at a wedding like that!
Not really a "crazy" story but it's what I think is the worst thing to have at a wedding!

Best man toasts the happy couple, goes on about what he and groom have been through together; I'm not sure he even mentioned the bride. Still, not the worst toast I'd ever heard. But here's the context: the groom & best man are closeted gays, and the loves of each other's lives. The best man is already married (his wife is at the wedding), and the bride is pretty, sweet, smart & clueless. It was a really nice wedding, but I wasn't the only one cringing during that toast.

Honestly? My aunt & uncle's entire wedding...They had two singers, who were both horrible (co-workers at the church school where they both worked). Then they had a ridiculously elaborate procession, with eight attendants each...after the wedding, we all had to wait around for an hour before we could go to the reception, and then they didn't even feed us! They offered punch and cake, which doesn't normally offend me, but we were all there all day!!! And to top it all off, the cake was hideous! It was about 5 feet tall, with tiers on each side, and little pink and green elf-like people climbing up and down the pillars that held up the layers...underneath the top layer was a fountain of pink punch! Ugh! All I can say is that I'm glad I was a kid then, or I would have been really thirsty for a really tall drink!!

I once went to a wedding where the bride decided to have 300 people squeezed into a room made for 200 guests max. They used round tables. The tables were so close together, when you pulled out a chair to sit down you would hit the person behind you. Guests were practically sitting at the buffet. There was no room to move, and you had to weave around 10 tables to get to the bathroom.
On top of that, the airconditioning was not working, so a room built for 200 people had 300+ guests sweating and practically seated on top of each other. The bride's dress had horrible sweat stains after the first hour.
Needless to say, we left early. I later hear they only took 10 tables out of the way for dancing....so everyone was trying to dance in amongst the tables. What a disaster.

I was at a wedding about 4 years ago where the groom got completely wasted drunk. He got into a fight with his new father-in-law and punched him - gave him a black eye and broke his nose! After doing that, he (the groom) stormed out of the reception and they couldn't find him until the next day. He totally ruined the wedding and obviously the bride was freaking out. I don't think the couple is still married (though I lost touch with them after moving).

It was a really nice wedding. However, at the reception, the ENTIRE family of the bride changed into jeans and ratty T-shirts. It was so hillbillish (if that's even a word).
What a perfect picture, the bride all dressed up and dancing with her father in his jeans and holey shirt.
It was awful!
Like they couldn't stay looking nice for a few hours.

At my cousin's wedding, there was a dispute between a few members of the bride's family and b4 u know it, there was a huge brawl on the dance floor. Even the Bride was swinging and the DJ got in on the action too. It was a crazzzy mess!

Ugh!
I went to a wedding once where the bride and groom were feeding each other cake, and the groom got feisty and slammed the cake too hard into her face. It ended up going up her nose and ended up rupturing something or other - her eyes were a mess, her nose bled and she turned around and punched his lights out and left her own wedding reception. (by the way - these two clowns were no friends of mine, lol)
