You may not be eating enough throughout the day, I know I feel that way when I get home and didn't have enough to eat, or worked really hard at the gym. It's good you are eating at least five times a day, your small snacks may need to be more equal to your simple meals though to keep you going during the time between your larger meals. Figure out what foods you like, what the right portion sizes are for you and put together a meal plan, or even just an emergency list for when you feel you need to eat (things high in protein and fiber will help you feel full longer). You can still have all the foods you love, just in moderation, and if your body feels like its starved for food, then it probably is, if not, then you may be eating for another reason (i.e.: stress, boredom, etc.) you need to find out what it is and what you can do to overcome it without food.

Why are you on a diet? If it is for somebody else then you might as well stop now. If it is because you want to live a healthy life and not be obese and suffer the effects that come with that such as diabetes, heart attacks, strokes, etc then make up your mind to eat right. Life as whole is about choices.

when i get home i usually drink 2 glasses of water - it makes me feel full for a bit till i cook something.
have something healthy like fruits and veggies (baby carrots are good and takes a while to crunch them).
also look at food labels nutrition info and see how many calories are in there and think of what you will have to do to burn it off - i usually think its not worth the binge if i will have to run for 2 hours to burn it all off - which is 3 days of exercising.
