please please actually read before answering. I am not asking how to down windows media player. I am asking how to download a video from windows media player that was sent by someone. Thank you.

Windows Media Player is a Player. It can only play a file, it stores nothing hence you cannot download from it.
The file must exist in some form for it to be played.
If it is on the Internet Media Player is receiving the packets of data from the Internet Site hosting the file and displaying them.
If the file is in your computer all you have to do is look and see where the file is located that Media player is playing and copy it.

Your question is not clear enough. If you want to have the video the person sent to you on your PC, just right-click and SAVE it. If, however, it is a streaming video, you might not be able to do that.
