find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
you can get rid of any food cravings in 3 days - its scientifically proven

I am currently doing the Fiber 35 diet by Brenda Watson. I have lost 30 pounds in 12 weeks, and I find that the high fiber helps control my cravings. Fiber is also extremely healthy for you. Exercises is also a HUGE factor in loosing weight. I do "Walk away the Pounds Express" by Leslie Samone. It's very simple, and effective. I do the 2 mile walk. Burns lots of calories. Good luck.

I use www.thedailyplate.com and have been losing 2 pounds a week consistantly. I eat healthy foods (about 1300 calories a day), and work out 6x a week.
The site is free to use, but you do have to pay if you want to unlock some of the features.

The grapefruit or mayo clinic diet is excellent. You can lose about 4 to 5 lbs. weekly if you follow it exactly. You can search for it over the internet.
