no one said the universe doesn't have a cause but just like people thought the earth was the center of the universe and that the earth was flat. some people believe that god only made the earth with life on it. i think that makes as much sense as the earth being flat. no one knows what the universe has to offer because we can't get very far.

You want to be careful with that one...

If everything has a cause, all your thoughts are caused, and freewill, even existence as a personal "I", may disappear.
Unpalatable, perhaps, but not necessarily impossible.
(See Libet's experiment's, perhaps?
"The research (subsequently repeated and corroborated by others) seemed to provide a scientific proof that free will was a delusion.")

If however your thoughts really represent something more than the inevitable results of prior chemical and electrical states, then the "must have a cause" argument hardly holds.

The universe is a testament to god's existence. Can you imagine anything before time, what kind of matter existed back then?. Can you just imagine a universe springing out of emptyness? That is why the universal truth is GOD EXISTS!!

"Where science ends supernatural begins"

Your right the formation of Why and How universe came about is far beyond human comprehinsion. That is one factor that keeps us intrigued and currious with life and the reason for it.. Im not sure we will ever know the answers....Lets hope we eventually learn them it would suck to have a bad ending to a good book....

Really? What causes lightening to strike at a particular location? What causes the path of a tornado? What causes it to destroy a church? What causes accidents? What causes the existance of "dark matter"? What causes some people to choose to believe in god and others to choose to not believe?

The universe started with the Big Bang, because God caused it 13.7 billion years ago, (keep in mind that God transcends time and space, so God never required a beginning, God is eternal/timeless)

Who says the universe doesn't have a cause? There's a cause. Just because we don't know what it is or can only theorize about it, doesn't mean there is no cause.

There's a cause. We just dont know what it is.
