Yorkshire Terriers are toy dogs. Toy Yorkshire Terrier s redundant.

Yorkies are considered to be toy dogs because of their size. I have a yorkie myself. I believe there are also toy poodles. Be careful with yorkies, some breeders say that they have "teacup" yorkies. There are no such things. Those dogs are severly underweight, and may suffer down the road from major health releated problems... Good luck with your choice.

There isn't a Toy Yorkie, but there is a Teacup Yorkie, which is just that....a small version of the standard. And there is a Toy Poodle, which is a miniature version of a Standard Poodle.

There are three official sizes of Poodle: Standard (over 15"), Miniature (10-15") and Toy (under 10").

Many people think that there is, but yorkies just range in size about up to 5 or 6 pounds regularly.

"toy" is not put in front of a Yorkie since it IS a toy breed ..Toy can be put in front of the Poodle since it comes in 3 recognized sizes..Standard, Miniature and Toy.

Yes to both of your questions...I have a toy Yorkie, and she is soooo cute...but don't forget if you get one of these dogs they have to be groomed...if you don't they become a matted mess...good luck with your pick..
