Yes, he can legally date you.
Sex is a completely different matter, though, and depends on where you live. What is the age of consent in your state? --- That's your answer.

Depending on the specific laws in place where you live, it is generally illegal for a person over the age of 18 to have sex with a person under the age of 18. However, someone would have to press charges before that turned into legal trouble. In other words, if your parents consented to the relationship, there might never be a problem.

I think it is legal to date you, but not have sex. But you don't want to just give yourself away to anyone. Wait until you know if he is worth it, because the day comes when you meet your soul mate and wouldn't it be nice if you had that precious gift just for him? It is old fashioned but a nice old fashioned gift that will mean the world to him. Men are funny...they make like they won't think bad of you, but when they get it ...they loose some respect for you. Also there is the chance of disease or a child and that is a complication that effects a lot of people especially the little one that might not know his or her Dad. Or if you are together your life is on hold for a number of years...before you even know what your dreams are. So take care...make him work hard to get you, and if he doesn't want to then he is not worth it. Oh and remember most men don't like housework, cooking, or laundry...your life will be mostly those three things for a long time...don't rush it.

You age distinction is the final element you ought to agonize approximately. it somewhat is extra considerable the way you get alongside and what your plans are for the destiny. i does not rush into marriage particularly yet, particularly if certainly one of you will get a a ways better training, yet so a ways as age, the yank actor, Charlie Chaplin, replaced into 35 years older than his spouse, Oona, and that they've been married for some 37 years till his dying. i think the male buddy is in basic terms jealous and attempting to interrupt the two certainly one of you up.

it is legal unless you have sex. Are you ready for that type of relationship? Do you really like him? if so then why not. just try to hold off on the sexual aspect until you are 16

Date = yes. Have sex = probably not. Maybe in some states, but most states don't recognize 16 as old enough to have consensual sex.

Depends on the state...... in most states it's no problem unless you ave sex...and in some states it's still ok. I would check the laws in your state specifically. All you'll get here is general info.

Depends on the state.
Sometimes it only has to be one year apart to be legal, and sometimes you HAVE to be 18.
