It doesn't sound like you are eating enough calories. Have you tried Weight Watchers? They have two great programs. I like the Core program, because it doesn't consist of a lot of processed foods. (Processed foods don't keep me satisfied) It consists of fruits, vegetables, beans, fat free milk / cheese, whole wheats (brown rice, whole wheat pasta), and lean meats. I make 2 or 3 dishes for the week and that way I don't have to cook every day. Good Luck!!!
For instance
BREAKFAST - oatmeal (with fat free margarine, and fat free milk)
LUNCH - chili (kidney beans, tomatoes, ground turkey, chili powder (or taco powder), onions, and green peppers),
DINNER - chicken breast (skinless), bk potato, green beans
SNACK - I eat fruit, or make some popcorn w/ 2 table spoons of olive oil)

Please read this website I believe it will help you so much and put food into perspective as to how carbs, protein and fats work. weightlossforall.com
Here is what I know and studied about nutruition.
Carbs is digested first, beginning in your mouth, carbs begin to break down and digest. Fat is digested next,
And then protein is last to digest.
So when people go on diets and stop eating carbs, their energy source, they quickly get discouraged due to lack of energy.
These are the amounts much you should consume per day percentage wise.
50% carbs, 30% fat, and 20% protein.
Make sure you are getting between 60-72 grams of protein a day to prevent your muscle loss.
Back to the website, I thought this was very informative and true!
Think before you diet. You will not lose a lot of fat weight if you don't increase your metabolism before lowering your calorie intake. Even a slight increase in your metablic rate will speed up fat loss over many months without strict dieting.
This is why. Muscle contains blood which means your blood is circulating more, which in turn burns fat calories even when you are not exercising. Use a small pair of hand weights for starters. With an increased metabolism, you have more energy, anytime you move more you increase your metabolism, of course this has to be on a daily basis.
Aerobics will also help. Walking, swimming, biking, jogging, eliptical machine etc. Those all help to get your heart pumping, of course if you are really over weight you should see your Dr. first to make sure you can exercise like you want. It will certainly make a difference in your joints not to make so much extra weight on them, it will decrease your chances of having diabetes, heart disease etc.
Start slow. You can do it.!

I know your feeling here 2 years ago I weighed over 300 pounds and I went on the low carb diet and now I weigh 175. It's not easy and you will feel frustrated at times but my main thing was leaving the sweets alone. I ate all the meat I wanted, cooked any way I wanted and I snacked on meat skins because they are low carb...Drink lots of water before, during and after you eat, I used the flavor packets that gave it a taste but was 0 carb 0 calories,. Don't try to look at the total weight you want to lose go for 5 pounds at a time and that way you don't get frustrated as quickly, Good luck and I know with some will-power and faith you can obtain the goal you want.....just be patient.......

Cutting out carbs completely is a quick fix that eventually leads to gaining even more weight. you should try good carbs like yams, and even rice. The key is moderation, not completely cutting out certain food groups. Plus yams and rice are very satisfying...and nothing beats a bowl of oatmeal in the morning...with egg whites.
This diet will not work because diets do not work, you have to make life changes you have to eat foods that are healthy and incorporate exercise to really make a lasting difference. A diet is a temporay fix and you don't want temporary you want permanence, staying power. If you keep up this diet you will burn out, try to introduce other foods and get at least 1000-1500 calories a day.

The thing is that when losing weight you restrict one thing or another. When doing a no carb diet, you are severly restricting carbs only. Calories are fine as long as you do not have any carbs. For example, eggs are protien and so you can have mpre then two. Another thing is any crbs you are going to eat should be in the beginning of the day but should be a carb high in fiber. An example is oatmeal or a flax cereal. The thing to remember is go head and have two turkey burgers instead of just one, pile more tuna in that salad and switch up your meals. No carbs means all the unbreaded meat and green veggies you can eat. Go for it !

try a protein shake with less than 20 grams of carbs. And keep in mind, you can have as much salad as you want. Just watch what you put in it. And keep an eye on how much dressing you use.
I recommend the book: Curves (member edition) by Gary Heavin. It has two programs in it: low carb and low cal. It also has exercises you can do at home. I lost 8 pounds in two weeks, and don't get hungry.

First of all, what is your target weight.
Second of all, diets work best in conjunction with a well thought out excercise plan.
Third of all, foods high in protein can allow you to be full. If you don't excercise though, it does as much damage as fat.

Look into the raw diet... you can still eat meat and do your own thing with it but I have lost weight. You basically can eat as many fruits and vegetables as you want... so I munch all day!
