How do men really feel about a woman who has a dangerous job, or a job where she is in a position of power at work?
I'm looking for the good and the bad, does this turn you off of a potential girlfriend/wife or does it (for lack of a better phrase) turn you on?

I find this fascinating, enticing and completely attractive. This would indicate to me ~ a woman who is passionate, dedicated, driven, responsible and has had some incredible experiences.

Not sure why some "y" chromosomers are intimidated by women in power roles.

Someone else will have to help you with the "bad" and any "turn-offs" because I find this erotic and mysterious.

Good luck to you ~

My wife (second marriage) is a VP at an urban College. She interacts with potentially dangerous students on a daily basis.

My ex was a stay at home type.

I find that sharing the financial burden and being able to swap stories about how our days went a huge help in the relationship with my current wife. I do not see it as a physical turn-on, but I am attracted to the emotional and intellectual equality we share.

For me, it makes little difference.

I've dated nurses, paramedics, managers at McDonalds, bill collectors, vet techs, among others. Paramedic is a bit more dangerous, manager obviously has more power...

There are differences in personality between all of them, but its neither positive or negative. Just different from one another. I'd say the ones of power were more straight forward, and it was easier to know where everything stood with them. So it was nice in some aspects, but there's also negatives to the situation, one being, they are less likely to settle or want to commit. I'm not saying thats how it is, just what I've noticed over the years.

I wouldn't like it if my gf/wife had a dangerous job. Not because she is a woman but because I would be worried she wouldn't come home one day!

As for a woman with power at work, it does not intimidate me. It would only bother me if her work began to consume her and left no time/energy for our relationship.

Neither is a "turn on" but the dangerous job could be a "turnoff".

Depends on the guy. You will find those who think it is hot to have a woman who has a dangerous or powerful profession. I find it a turn on personally. Nothing like a successful and powerful business woman.

I would hope the girl turns me on regardless. The job itself if it were dangerous would be of obvious concern for her safety but i wouldnt discourage her from pursing what she wants to do i would support it.

i think a woman can do what she wants. If your partner loves you for who you are and what you are about the then yes is the answer hun ( i like a woman in control of her live)
it is a real turn on for me.

Hmmmm,Survey say that a lot guys get intimidate by that. Women usually doing that type of stuff have a hard time getting dates cause of the role they play. I don't know what to tell you honestly.

nothing is a bigger turn off than a woman in a macho job i.e. military grunt/pilot, cop, fireman, riding a motorcycle, etc... on the other hand, nothing adverse about a woman CEO, attorney, doctor, etc....
