Using the injured muscle is important to do, but you have to limit the amount of stress put on the muscle. The rule for pulled muscles is simple--if you are doing something that hurts, then you are injuring yourself. Pulled muscles range from micro tears in the muscle fibers to complete separation of muscles or ligaments. You need to avoid activities that cause further tearing, or the muscle tissue will scar. Scarred portions of the muscle will no longer function properly for the rest of your life, unless you have some sort of treatment to break up the scar tissue.
The things you should do with pulled muscles: A couple cycles each day of warming up the muscle with gentle stretching, followed by application of an ice pack for 10-15 minutes. This approach results in the fastest recovery and the least amount of scarring.

Seek medical attention. I kept stretching out my shoulder when I pulled a muscle. When the exercises did not work I went to the doctor they said I should have been taking strong pain killers, waited and then doing the exercises otherwise the pain makes the muscles tense. They need to be relaxed for exercises to be effective. D'Oh. It's best not to guess. If you don't want to bother a doctor, speak to a pharmacist.

If it's nonetheless leap that implies it's nonetheless swollen!!!!! don't use till you suppose you've gotten a whole variety of movement and wholly restored. should you do play, you may also purpose everlasting harm! And watch out whilst you stretch, ensure you are taking it handy with that muscle you simply injured. takes a two-five days for a pulled muscle to heal one hundred% Depends on how unhealthy the pull used to be.

You need to stretch it very good before you work out AND after you work out. When you go home after your workout you need to ice it, then you need to heat it, then ice it again. If you keep doing this you will be good to go, but be patient with it...a pulled muscle is a big deal, and if you dont take care of it then you might put to much stress on the muscle and it will never get better.
