Hunting breeds can have large litters. 6-8 is normal but larger or smaller litters can happen. Your vet can ultrasound her and tell you how many.

It would depend on the size of the father but pointers usually have medium sized litters, not usually less than 5 or more than 10. Keep in mind though, that not all dogs are the same and she could set a world record and have a lot of puppies or she could have just one. Good luck.

Well it always depends on the dog. Generally, smaller dogs have smaller litters. Also, the first litter is generally very tiny. A pointer, I would say about 6ish. Could be more or less, you really never know until birth, sometimes not even an ultrasound will give you an accurate count!

Depends. I would say an average litter for any dog is 5 or 6 pups. However, my friend had a dachshund that had 13 pups! So size doesn't matter in the number of pups a dog will have.

Litter size will depend on the female. Research that breed more and see what an average size litter would be for them. Check akc.org or any specific breed site. Good luck.

A dog of that size usually has somewhere between three and six pups. But in unusual cases, they will have only one, or in the case of one unfortunate husky, 15 pups. It is impossible, though, to say exactly how many she will have until she is pregnant and has been x-rayed.
