I don't know about icecream but my friend once ate nothing but pizza for 3 weeks straight and lost 10lbs.

well not sure it works, but it sounds like a stupid diet. If the icecream has a lot of sugar, then it will make you gain weight. But i doubt a diet like that is a good lifelong commitment when you can just eat healthy foods.

Well, it depends on how much ice cream you eat - that is, how many calories you take in. But eating only ice cream is very unhealthy, not to mention very boring.
You don't get a good balance on vitamins, minerals, fiber and protein from ice cream alone. It is high in fat, sugar and calories. It is a 'frill' in a healthy diet, not the lynchpin, if you know what I mean - you eat a little, sometimes, for fun, but it is not like eating only, say, fruit, veggies and lean protein (not that that is without its issues, but it is better).

Ice cream is almost all fat and sugar....LOTS of caleries. If you want a diet to follow, why not think about the fact that humans are omnivores, and we require plants and proteins to survive...
Get some aerobic exercise at least 3 times a week, and eat some green stuff...your colon will thank you.

ur gonna gain weight.. icecream is all sugar, milk and water.. it wont give u any vital nutrients so u r gonna b weak in health pretty soon.. u wont eat any fiber, so ur stomach's gonna break down too.
and the worst thing is u'll start to hate icecreams if thats the only thing u ate..

you won't necessarily gain weight... it depends on how much you eat. You can eat only ice cream if you want, but you'll only be allowed to eat like one bowl a day, and that won't be a large bowl. If you exercise more, you can eat more... if you do this diet though, make sure to take a multivitamin.

ice cream is my favorite food in the world, but even i would stop short of an ice cream diet
not necessarily, people don't gain weight from food, they gain weight from calories, and different foods have different calories
if you eat 1600 calories worth of ice cream and that's all you eat, you probably won't gain any weight
if you eat 2500 calories worth of tofu, you'll probably gain weight
so it's not about what you eat, but how much
however, eating all ice cream - no matter how much - is horrible from a health standpoint . . . your body needs vitamins and minerals and protein, carbohydrates, and fat . . . if you just eat ice cream, you'll get your carbs and you'll get way more fat than you need to and calcium, vitamin A and vitamin C, but that's it
