I sure felt like it when I was young. I was being terribly abused and had nobody to talk to. I finally did begin opening up to a priest, and it helped greatly. When my father killed himself, the priests were instrumental in helping me recover, stay in school, and move on with my life. Thank God for them. At least in the emotional sense, I do see many of them as potential livesavers. After all, a lot of their work involves dealing with people who are hurting, bewildered, and in trouble. I'm certainly not the only person who's been helped during times of crisis by a priest.

No. A priest is a lazy bum doesn't work for his money yet takes it from people who believe. All they do is read out of a book for an hour a day. When one jumps in front of a bullet about to hit a kid then I will call him a lifesaver.
