It is more popular in other areas of the world than in the US. But there are Spiritualist churches in the US, and they've been there for longer than most people realize. Also, the works of Allan Kardec do certainly have their American readers. As I understand it, not all of the U.S. Spiritualist churches follow Kardec, though. Some of Kardec's works can now be read for free online. The book distribution center for the Allan Kardec Educational Society is based in the U.S. (Phoenix, Arizona).
