Close one of my visas and apply for a premium card or should I just keep my visas open and apply for an additional card? I don't want to have too many credit cards. I don't want my credit report to look bad. What are some good cards to apply for? I have excellent credit.

If you have excellent credit, you can apply for any credit card you like. In particular, start here if you're looking for a rewards card:

Instead of closing one of your old credit cards, just transfer the balance to your new credit card. This way, you can save money on interest-- but you'll keep your old credit line open (which is good for your credit score). Three credit cards definitely won't be too many...

Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!

If you have excellent credit, the credit cards you currently have should be offering you upgrades to gold or platinum cards. You keep your old cc numbers, just a different card from the same company.

Why do you want a better credit card? Status?
