Why did the Sheriff drive by when my dad visited? Nothing ever happens in this neighborhood. My dad did not do anything except wear an Italian American hat. He was being loving.
I know the routine. Something bad will happen to me, and the community will declare that it is her family. "If she would just cut them off, everything would be ok for her" they would say. If I question their little comments, then I am being too suspicious.
What can I do? I have some ideas to run by you...
1. get married to the right man
2. become a millionaire in order to get respect
3. change jobs every time it looks like prejudice
4. move far away
5. end contact with all family members
6. call the police to tell them how to do their jobs
7. spend money I don't have for a lawyer
8. enroll in college and go bankrupt, so everyone is happy
9. stop voting and they will go away
10. don't be a Christian either, they will hate you
I don't know what to do. It should be peaceful here...

Does this go along with your last question on hallucinations? I think you are being paranoid. If they were watching you or your family, they would be a little more discrete and use plain clothes police and unmarked cars at the very least.

Umm, all this because a police car drove by your house? Did it cross your mind he might have just been in the neighborhood? If this is the only time it sounds like coincidence. Looks like an overreaction.

Tell them you are old enough to watch out for you self, and intend to live your life your way. Call the Sheriff's Office and ask them not to respond by a drive by, just call to fine out if every thing if fine.

Sounds like you are Italian. Is your family in the Mob? If there are shady characters in your family the suspicions will never go away. If you love your family ignore the rest. Don't go around hiding, face them.

What is your question or point? Who cares if the cops drove by when your father visited. Was he being drunk and disorderly? Did they stop and say anything to him? Maybe you are paranoid or something. In either case, you certainly don't make much sense.
