okay.....
a tampon you stick in your vagina...while a pad is kinda like a diaper. you stick it out your underwear. i have heard tampons are so much better than pads. but the only tihng about tampnos is you have to change them every four hours. if you use tampons...use tampax pearls. they are kinda expensive....but i am going to try tampons the next time. it takes getting use to.

Hey there,

Alright, don't get grossed out...Pads are the things wher eyou peel off the wrapper and stick it to your underwear. It catches everything but it feels like you are wearing a diaper. Use that if you are afraid to use a tampon. A tampon, is an application that you place inside, once it is inside, youpush the cotton out of it and a string hangs from it. Once the string contains blood on it, it is time to change it. This might sound gross, but if you have never used one, you need to go slow and find the right place for it. Try going slanted inwards. If you are too scared or discouraged, stay with the pads for awhile.

Oh my,. you really should be asking a family member this questions instead of the public,. In fact, you can go to any grocery store and look up the information yourself. The back side of the Tampon box explains what the purpose is as well as the pad box.
JUST READ FOR YOURSELF TO GET THE EXPLANATION.

Good luck!

well... im guessing ur a first timer... but any way a pad is like a huge band-aid u put on the inside of ur panties pretty much & it catches all the blood, only thing is it feels like ur wearing a giant diaper.... a tampon is a little more difficult. it has to be inserted into the problem area if u get what i mean. Most boxes have instructions to show u just what to do, tampns are much more comfortable. thats pretty much it i suppose! good luck girl.

Tampons go inside of you. They are small, and made of cotton. They have plastic or cardboard applicators and every box comes with instructions. Start out with plastic, and if you feel comfortable, more to cardboard, they are cheaper. Tampons are good when you want to go swimming and have your period. Also, you can't feel them so they are more comfortable. You can leave them in up to 8 hours, any time after that you increase your risk of coming down with Toxic Shock Syndrome.

Pads can be annoying. You can feel them, and if your flow gets too heavy, it can leak onto your panties. But wear pads when sleeping, because of the Toxic Shock issue.

tampons go inside your vagina to stop the bleeding- commonly used for swimming and other activities that has to do with water, while some ppl think highly of them and use it all the time. the thing is you can only wear them for 4-6 hours at the most and then have to throw them out (down the toilet)

Pads go on the underware to stop the bleeding from going anywhere else. i think the majority of ppl use pads. you can use them up to 8 hours.

When you wear pads you can feel the blood come out. When you wear tampons you don't . Pads catch the blood after it comes out and Tampons catch it before it comes out.
