I don't speak that language but I'll try. Your friend got engaged to a girl that he doesn't like and that his grandfather doesn't find attractive though he arranged it.

Well...it seems obvious. It's none of your business and none of grandpa's business. Easy enough! But as far as you are concerned--I think you should break the relationship. After all, clearly your friend deserves better than you. You don't want to still be his friend if he is married!!

Anyone know why we still bother to answer trolls? Seriously we know better and do it anyway!

I don't believe in arranged marriage, but looks aren't everything.
That is your friends problem... If you don't love somebody, DON'T MARRY THEM!!!
What is wrong with the world today?
Who cares who poeple want you to marry, its who makes you happy that counts. When you are ready to put someone before you in everything you do and not be selfish in anyway,
Make all your decisions with someone rather than on your own, ask permission from someone before you take off, and sacrifice whatever it takes to make this person happy, Then and only then are you ready for marriage.
Don't let your friend marry someone he doesn't love.
Trust me my grandfather has had his heart set on me marrying this guy for awhile now. Not gonna happen.
Oh, try not to be so shallow. You will never meet the right person this way. The man I love may not be the hottest thing to everybody else, but they way he looks at me and how he loves me, I can't wait to jump his bone right after work everyday.

It amazes me how much men care about marrying girls that must be beautiful, yet when women get married to men, many don't seem to care what he looks like.

Both you and your friend are superficial idiots. Tell your friend that if he doesn't want to get married to her, then not to. The girl will be happier in the long run if she isn't married to a jerk like him.

Inside beauty is better than outside beauty. Perhaps people should take the time to realize that, because that is all that matters in the end.

Although, I am not that shallow, you must agree there has to be some type of physical attraction to one another to date and especially MARRY. This would be why our divorce rate is 70%. Tell him that his grandpa is old, needs glasses and that does HE really want to marry her?!!! You answered the question yourself. "he doesnt lik that girl...she is too ugly." Unheard of...NO, shallow...yes. There has to be MORE there!

If the guy doesn't want to marry the girl, what's his grandpa going to do, cut him out of the will? He doesn't need grandpa's money that bad...no one does!

Marry for love and I think he should talk to his granpa. I dont think he should marry the girl though since he is selfish and superficial. She deserves a man who truly loves her and cherish her.

First off looks shouldn't be that big of a factor. Therefore, if he doesn’t LOVE her and respect her for who she is then yes break it off. I believe you should be TRULY happy and TRULY in love before you say I DO.

Good Luck! :)
