It depends on how specific you want to be. MrOrph is right about the three layers of skin, but each of those layers are made up of smaller layers. For example, the epidermis (outermost layer) is made up of five layers: stratum basale, stratum granulosum, stratum spinosum, stratum lucidum and stratum corneum (moving from the bottom, up).
