it was all a scam in those times women having sex before marriage were stoned so she said a ghost did me and she saved herself a stoning you should read the qurans version mary was alone an angel said you will have a baby and like 2 minutes later jesus popped out its weird nd baby jesus also taked in the quran

K.That was not the idea.Mary was unknown to men and brought up in a church.She was clean in spirit as well as body.The Holy Spirit(God's Spirit)did the deed.So Jesus was half human(Mary),half devine(God)for a reason.To be temped by all temptations(human level)but die with all the sin known to mankind so to break the bondage of satan and give us (God's children)a chance at Heaven.Joseph was Jesus's earthly 'father'.He and Mary had other children.He played an important part in the story.That is what the angel was for,to explain it to Joseph.

The "all powerful God" sure is a Grade A Moron. What did he need Mary for? He didn't physically sleep with her (Mary was still a virgin you know). He didn't need Mary to pop out Jesus (God could have just poofed Jesus into existence).
The whole thing is stupider than Paris Hilton.

Mary was His woman. He gave her life. Without Him there would not have been a Mary.
