Anyone ever noticed that the phone is completely different than messenger with particular people sometimes?

Anyone ever noticed that talking to someone on messenger is completely different from talking to that same person on the phone? There's this girl who loves talking to me on the phone, and she's chatty and loves to talk, even return calls, but on messenger, most of the times it's mostly one and two word answers. It's like a different person when we're on messenger most of the times. Anyone ever noticed that with some people?
