I think people should have until they are 24 to live with their parents w/o judgment.

18 graduate H.S. + 4 years college + 2 years master's degree OR work = financially independent and stable person.

Now, the above scenario only works if the child and parent get along and live in a harmonious environment. Rare in these days.

Living at home isn't bad but being 19 you should be in school or at least working! You should help your mom with the bills and food for the house.

I would expect a 19yr old to go to school and to work. However I would not expect a 19yr old doing those things to support themselves fully. Every kid is different, and when you sign up for parenthood, it doesn't come with a end contract. Like it or not, not all kids are ready to live on their own, nor should they.

However any 19yr old not in school and working or working full time, needs a kick in the pants.

Sounds like you are not the best person to point that out, sounds like you are resentful and set on humiliating him. Shame on you.

I believe that it is perfectly fine. It isn't OK if he doesn't have a job and is not attending school. My parents are fine with me living at their house when i turn 19. You should leave him alone otherwise!

I think the term "man" is somewhat premature in that circumstance.
