In responding to a question worded: "What the hell is midge talking about ---" I (along with others, 7 mins & 11 mins prior to mine) challenged the professed Christian about his use of profanity and personal insult.

I received back a rude, highly impertinent, personal email informing me that I am a hypocrite, and "lead children and their parents to Hell."

In the past 2 weeks, I have given of my time, to answer some queries because I believed them to be sincere. My question now is: Is this a serious forum; or is have I misunderstood, and entered a clique whose only interest is to insult and ridicule others?

When someone asks "What the hell is midge taking about? Is she insane?" ... I am at a loss to see the maturity, much less any christianity, in such a question. Would someone tell me, please: Is this a serious Question and Answer Forum; or have I been wasting my time in endeavouring to help others, by intruding into a private social group?
My apologies, if the latter.

Re: obnoxious reply - No, no one hurt my feelings; simply trying to find out if there are mature folk who present serious questions/comments; or if I misunderstood the nature of the group.

Don't worry about it, that guy is Pathetic. He is mentally ill.
He can dish it but he can't take it. To that same person I posted an e-mail he sent me to two of his 'Midge is angry questions'. A very vile e-mail. Do you know what he did? Deleted both questions in which he declared Midge to be angry and blocked me from answering his questions. Then he asked questions about me that were slanderous. I'll show you what he e-mailed me.

Yes, there are serious questions and answers here.

EDIT: The person who sent you that e-mail and wrote those asinine questions has had their account deleted.

First, I am a christian. It doesn't make me perfect, but I do try to act in a mature manner. I believe it would put a frown on my Fathers face if I wasn't acting, speaking in a way that was Christlike. I get very frustrated on here at times. I have seen some very rude remarks coming from people who are calling themselves Christians. What effect do they think that has on others, do they even care, I don't know. I do know that treating others rudely only pushes a person further away from Gods word. "OH Yeah!, Now that's a christian for you!" I'm sure many may be thinking that when reading or receiving such answers from people saying they are Christians. I have answered a few on here that received such rudeness from so called Christians... Letting them know that they shouldn't judge all christians by the harsh rudeness and flat out judgment they received from some person who sits on their high horse. One day they may get knocked off that high horse. NO, not may get knocked, they definitely will, when they stand in the presence of God himself. This is an open forum... I know that you can say whatever you please, but you don't have to be rude and filth (which I have seen) is unnecessary. God Bless you.

God tells us to teach his word that is true... but he wants us to do it in a loving way.
people like that guy have not matured in the word of God.
surely no matter where you go when it comes to an open fourm about religion there will be people there who critisize when they cannot answer the question before them. Its simple not just christians, but a lot of people who cannot come up with an anwser on the spot try to hurt someones image or credability in order to make you look like you dont know what you are talking about (even though might do in most cases)

This is not the christian way to teach; however, christians are commanded to love thy neighbor as theyself. they are told to do it in a loving way which many do not comprehend well.

As a christian myself, i apologize because that kind of behavior is not acceptable to the christian standard. Every group has a person/s that does or says something to make that group look bad, but it doesn't mean that that group is.

We all have different beliefs and al lof them should be respected and sometimes when im on here it just seems like people criticize way to much, but I dont take it to heart.

yesterday i posted a question about why can't we all look at beliefs in a respectable way because science theories are not proven 100% and no religion is either, but people took it as me attacking science (which i was not doing) and critisize me from all sides. everyone is critisized at some point no matter what but we have to learn to just let it go and keep moving on =)

have a great day
God Bless

No worries; I got no less than THREE threatening, childish emails from that very same clown you're referring to yesterday, when I responded to the very same question you're talking about. I subsequently posted his comments to me on this forum for everyone to see, given that I found them quite funny and thought everyone else might enjoy a chuckle as this clown's expense. What good are clowns for, after all, if not to provide cheap and somewhat scary entertainment for others?

In response to your question, no, not everyone here is a childish moron, like the one both of us have been harassed by. Quite a few people ask questions and answer questions legitimately; but any public forum that offers some anonymity like this is bound to attract trolls like that one. It's an unfortunate reality the rest of us have to deal with too--but that's why there's a block user feature now!

See my profile and look at my most recent question asked if you want to see the comments he left me--plenty of people sympathize. This guy's a regular loon, it seems.

It is a public forum, and as such you are likely to run into all facets of human nature, including the boorishly stupid and innane, if you can't handle that, then suggest you find someplace safe to hide.

There are ignorant, immature, narrow-minded, cruel, disrespectful, bigoted morons everywhere, and there are intelligent, patient folks wanting to learn, exchange information, and have a little fun. There's not much choice but to take us both. However, I suggest red flagging people with a note and quotes of their despicable behavior.

I remember that question. This forum attempts to be serious, but keep in mind the younger set and those who are easily angered. They do TEND to be one and the same, but not always. Please return; we are in desperate need of maturity here.
