we just moved and i had to reload the sims 2 game on my computer! but it wont work it stops on 20% then it says.....
"" A problem occured when trying to transfer the file 'TSData/Res/sound/Sfx.1package' from the media. Do you want to retry to copy the file , or cancel the installation"" i pressed retry but that same message came up !!!! please help!! i called the sims 2 company but they didnt know wat to do!!

Sounds like it is not reading the CD. Try cleaning the CD. May have a fingerprint on it.

Sounds like either the disc is bad/dirty or the drive is not working correctly. Try installing something from a disk that you know is ok. If that works, the Sims 2 disc may be scratched/dirty, etc.

your sims2 installation disk is already corrupted/damaged. Does it have scratches on the data side?
