We are getting closer to the end of times. Look around you. People every where are not taking responsibilities for their actions. Doesn't matter how small or big, they don't want to own up to what they did or have done.

The point is that if you are going to tell other people how to run their lives, maybe you should be able to step up to the plate.
Pro-lifers often say that "someone" will want that child even if the parent does not. And the simple fact is that that is a lie. There are 120,000 children each year waiting to be adopted and many many children grow to adulthood not having had a family. If the millions and millions of christians in the US who say that abortion is wrong were to get together and find 120,000 families to adopt those children, I'll shut up.
And you are ignoring a simple fact, MISTAKES HAPPEN!! Show me one person who has never made a mistake in their entire life and I'll shut up also.
For all of human existence, abortion has existed. So as for "what happened to taking responsibility..." that's exactly what they were doing, not bringing an unwanted baby into the world.

Aborting an unintended pregnancy, so to prevent adding yet another unwanted child to the hundreds of thousands languishing in the foster care system right now, IS a way of taking responsibility. If YOU don't want an abortion, you have the right to CHOOSE NOT to have one, thanks to Roe v. Wade. The Supremes ACKNOWLEDGED that the government would be able to FORCE unwanted abortions if women did NOT have the right to CHOOSE (a la China).
A BORN person cannot be legally murdered (except by the government) because the 14th Amendment grants Constitutional rights to everyone in its jurisdiction AS OF BIRTH. Learn the FACTS.

Inconveniece is least often the reason for abortions. Most common is known genetic anomalies, followed by known deformities, and then serious health risk to the mother, at the end of the list are those who feel they have the right to have ultimate control over their bodies, and they choose abortion for convenience, and they are a tiny minority. I think it pitiful that they didn't exercise that right to control prior to getting pregnant, but I honor their right to do as they choose in ending a pregnancy in the first trimester. And if you cannot see the difference between aborting a mass of cells and murdering a human being, I feel sorry for you.

Dear cmw,
You are correct. Why do people attempt to blame God for their wrong decisions? And if that is not enough, then they add sin to sin by advocating the murder of unborn children. How about taking responsibility for your actions, be an adult, and raise your child. There is no other person in the world like your unborn child--give that child the life he/she deserves.
We voice our anger about the Jewish holocaust, the disgusting slave-trade in early America, and genocide in other nations. But what about the slaughter of the unborn? Who will speak for them?

Scapegoating is the first transgression that miffed God.
God becomes angry not so much at the act of disobedience but at Adams and Eve’s avoidance of responsibility. Significantly, the word SIN is not introduced into the Bible until later when Cain murders his brother, Abel. It seems that Adam and Eve’s worst transgression is their scapegoat, and the couples moral life will finally begin when they can acknowledge having done wrong.
Hearing God moving about in the garden, man and woman panic and hide. God calls out to man, “Where are you?” … Adam replies, “I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid.” … God asks, “Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat of the tree from which I forbade you to eat?” … Man’s immediate defense is to blame the woman as well as God: “The woman YOU put at my side - she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” God then turns to women: “What is this you have done!” She replies, “The serpent duped me, and I ate.”
Both man and woman shirk their own responsibility by blaming someone else. Man could have chosen to protect woman, who has just fed him and given him pleasure. He could have said that she did not force him to partake of the fruit. Woman could have explained that she chose to trade immortality in the Garden of Eden for knowledge and wisdom. Like man, however, she disavows any accountability for her action.
Obviously, we're still dealing with this; with unwanted childreen, and all other aspects of life.

I agree that everyone should take responsibility for their actions...
But, I also think that Christians take the easy way out...it is easy to point fingers...point out the problems of life...by holding a sign...
But, it is totally different when actually called to action to do something positive...
I say, put your money where your mouth is...if you are so truly concerned with abortion...show us....adopt unwanted children...build homes for unwed Mothers...
Better yet, let an unwed Mother, who is kicked out of her home, come live with you...help her raise this child...give her a better option than abortion

I asked a Q, and as of yet to get an answer for the issue of when the soul enters the body or fertility clinics throwning out fertilized eggs. Should we also make fertility clinics illegal?

abortion should NOT be a method of birth control...
but you are forgetting, rape and health factors.
i mean sure the argument you have now sounds pleasant.. those evil women who go out have sex, get pregnant, then abort...
but you need to think about every situation.. and every situation is unique.
what if there was a young girl, who is mentally incapable, and was raped.. who is going to take care of the infant?
what about being a mother, who is pregnant, with no family, and this pregnancy is threatening her life? who will take care of this infant if the mother dies?
and believe me if you are going to say orphanages... you really must have no idea what its like to be an orphan, because i wouldnt wish that life on my worst enemy...

It's a symptom of dualistic thinking... thinking that body is separate from some spiritual realm, us vs. them, good vs. bad, my views vs. yours, etc. Such a progression of thought, "... expand so that you can murder anyone who is inconvenient?" is espoused according to the causes and conditions of anyone who takes it that far. All things arise due to causes and conditions, some people who claim they are pro-choice do not necessarily mean they are pro-murder, according to your choice of thinking, so your point is arrogant and illogical as well as unkind.
