Microsoft Question. Printing labels, how do I get the grid to show up when typing, but not when printing?

The grid for labels used to show up so I could place the text on the form. But it is now gone and I don't know how to retrieve it. I can put a grid on but it comes out on the print and I don't want that. Is there another way to do this. I tried MS and they were NO help whatsoever. Thanks

What program are you using? The answer will be different for Word then for Excel or for Puclisher or for Power Point, etc.
